My Second Tale

This ditty comes from a friend of an old roommate,

So this guy is a lighting guy, I don't know what else to call him. He does lighting for theatres and concerts and such. Anyway, the lighting guy got a call one day from Prince's people saying they wanted the lighting guy to do lighting for a music video. Naturally the guy agrees to meet with Prince to hash out the details.

So the lighting guy goes to Paisley Park a few days later to meet with Prince. After he enters, a big bouncer-esq dude leads him into a white room with a mirror and a chair in it. The bouncer dude tells him to have a seat and leaves into the next room. The lighting guy waits in the stark room for a few minutes until the bouncer dude returns to tell him, "Prince says hello." The lighting guy is very confused and says, "Tell Prince I say hello." So the bouncer leaves again for a few minutes and returns. "Prince wants to know how much you charge?" It is at this point that the lighting guy realizes, the lone mirror in the room is actually a two-way mirror, and 'supposedly' Prince is on the other side watching him and communicating though the bouncer dude.

Isn't that weird???? Oh Prince, Prince Prince. I wish I could say I was surprised...
